Meet The Band
The mighty Mike, besides curating his ever increasingly popular Only Fans page, is also VooDoo Bender's man on bass! In all seriousness though, Mike is the real deal. Not only was he formally the man bringing the low end grooves for one of Minnesota’s biggest hard rock bands Slow Children, he spent time in the Ozzie Tribute band Mr. Crowley, and local rock favorite Grind. Mike’s rock resume is too long to list here, so come to a VooDoo Bender show. He has plenty of rock stories to tell.
Josh is VooDoo Bender's resident mad scientist. When he’s not supplying VooDoo Bender with his multi–instrumental guitar and keyboard genius, he does things like go to Harvard and teach students how to observe mosquito brains through scientific machinery. Seriously, he really did that. We think it’s weird.
Corey is VooDoo Bender’s six string slinger! (Say that 7 times fast.) Corey came out of the womb with a set of headphones on playing AC/DC on one side and KISS on the other. He raised himself on a healthy mix of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Skynyrd and ZZ Top, just to name few. All that culminated in his ability make excellent rock smoothies everyone drinks down at our shows … along with Tequila.
Ask Todd any question and his answer is always either Led Zeppelin or John Bonham.
“Hey, Todd, what’s 2 plus 2?” Todd - Bonham.
“Hey, Todd, how many planets are in our solar system?” Todd - Led Zeppelin.
It’s annoying, but hey, he was in Modern Drummer Magazine once upon a time, so who are we to judge? As VooDoo Bender’s man on the drums, we think he has some serious chops. Just look at the drum riser sawdust after the first set. Trees fear him!
Michelle is our lead singer and front woman. We would write something witty about her, but she would probably kick our butt’s! She’s got a little Joan Jett mixed with Dirty Harry in her rock ‘n roll persona. And we love it! On stage, when she’s not busy dodging Todd’s flying broken sticks and Mike's left-handed bass with the agility of a parkour master, she is delivering some sweet siren badness. We hope she doesn’t figure out we are riding on the coattails of her talent. If you like your rock sang with soul come to a VooDoo Bender show!
